In the advertising textile printing industry, Custom Table Covers are recognized as one of the most powerful advertising tools which are always widely used in various promotional events, trade shows, or marketing campaigns.
Most trade show tablecloths are dye sublimated. However, dye sublimation is not the only printing method for making table cover. Sometimes, based on the quantity of your order, the logo you choose and the fabric you select, some other printing methods, like direct digital printing, screen printing and dying+offset printing, can also be taken into consideration when getting a table cover printed.
1. Dye Sublimation Printing
Dye sublimation is the most commonly used printing methods. For dye sublimation, it usually takes two-process, first the graphic will be printed on the dye sublimation paper, and then transfer the graphics on the paper to the fabric under high temperature.
Through the two-process printing, the vivid and vibrant color can be generated. Also, there is little color restriction for dye sublimation printing. The lead time for dye sublimation is fast, normally 1000pcs can be completed within 3 days.
2. Direct Printing
When it is a large quantity tablecloth order with a complicated logo and full color, Direct Printing is a cheaper solution. The only concern is the fabric, standard 155gram 300D polyester fabric is one of the common fabric for direct digital printing.
If customers have a budget in mind or just for one-time promotion use, we recommend Direct Printing. Delivery time for large quantity is quicker, 10,000pcs can be sent out within 7 days.
3. Screen Printing
It requires to be simple logo and solid color, sometimes a little bit complicated design with gradient color is also available, but depends on the specific logo design to confirm.
And it is not suitable for orders with small qty, because complex production processes and long delivery time can not meet customer’s fast delivery demand. It suits for large quantity order with a simple design, and its price is lower than Direct Printing.
The standard material for screen printing is 140gram 300D Poly. Usually, it takes 10-15 days to complete an order of 10,000 table covers.
4. Dyeing + Offset Printing
Same as screen printing, it requires a simple logo and solid color within four colors, proper for large quantity table cover order. The recommended material is also 140gram 300D Poly.
With offset printing, we will dye white cloth according to the Pantone color first, then print the logo on the colored fabric. When you touch the logo, you will feel the logo on the surface of the tablecloth, kind of like a T-shirt print. Some people also call it silk screen printing, as they have the same printing process just offset printing uses different printing stuff.
Because it needs to dye first, the delivery time will take longer, for example, 10,000 table covers will take 25-30 days.
So based on the above specific information, when you receive a tablecloth order or a quote request, you can easily choose the most suitable solution for your orders. If you still have any confusion, send us the order details with artwork and lead time requirements, then we will suggest the most suitable material & printing method with the best resource integration solution.
