How to Properly Use and Care Your Advertising Canopy Tent

Advertising canopy tents are a great way to promote your business and attract attention at outdoor events. However, to ensure that your tent lasts for repeated uses and continues to look its best, it’s important to use and care for it properly. In this blog post, we’ll share some tips on how to set up, take down, and maintain your advertising canopy tent so that it remains in top condition.

Tips for storing and maintaining an advertising tent:

1. Cleaning: After using the advertising tent, remove any dirt and dust from its surface. Dry the tent to remove any moisture, as storing it while still damp can lead to mold and rot. Clean the tent top and let it dry naturally in a cool, ventilated place. Do not store it under direct sunlight or in a high-temperature area, as this can cause degumming or accelerate aging.

When cleaning the tent, use gentle and even force. Do not brush hard to avoid shortening threads or damage the fabric.

2. Avoiding harmful substances: Do not allow the tent to come into contact with some harmful chemicals, like strong acids, alkalis, salt, or other chemicals, as these can cause corrosion and deformation.

3. Avoiding sharp objects: Avoid contact with sharp objects to prevent scratches and cuts.

4. Repairing minor issues: If the tent has any minor issues such as broken threads, dropped threads, or loose parts, repair it as soon as you can. This will help extend the life of the tent.

5. Regular cleaning: Clean the tent regularly by flushing it directly with water. Do not add any detergent to prevent damage to the waterproof coating. This will prevent mold and odor.

6. Storing properly: After the tent is properly stored, do not place heavy objects on top of it. This can cause permanent fatigue at the bend of the waterproofing tape material and produce degumming.

7. Sun exposure: It’s important to regularly expose your advertising canopy tent to sunlight to prevent mold and adhesion on the tent fabric. However, be careful not to leave it in direct sunlight for extended periods of time, as this can cause the waterproof tent bend rubber strip to experience permanent fatigue. By taking these precautions, you can help extend the lifespan of your tent and keep it looking its best.

Quick-setup steps and tips:

1. Setting up the frame: Pull apart the advertising tent frame to 50%.

2. Covering the frame with the tarp: Place the advertising tent tarp over the tent frame, making sure to align the top of the tarp with the top of the tent frame in the middle. Align the four corners of the folding tent tarp with the four corners of the tent frame and tighten the Velcro.

3. Expanding the frame: To set up your advertising canopy tent, start by pulling the tent frame out to 95% of its full size. Next, slide the tent feet into place and push up on the round hole sleeve until it clicks into place on the spring button located on each tent frame foot. If you’re using a new tent top, pushing up on the slide sleeve may require some extra effort. In this case, use your shoulder to help lift it upward until the button clicks into place. Repeat this process for all four corners of the tent.

4. Adjusting the height: Pull out the inner tube of the folding tent feet from the chassis. Slightly screw the button and the button will automatically pop out and snap onto the inner and outer feet at a certain height.

5. Completing setup: Once all steps are completed, your folding tent is installed!

Precautions when using:

Opening the package: Open the package carefully. Do not use a knife to scrape blindly, as this can easily scratch the tarp.

Loading and unloading: Handle the advertising tent with care during loading and unloading. Do not throw it violently.

Choosing a suitable site: Select a flat and clean site for the tent. Carefully inspect the area to ensure there are no rolling stones, rolling wood, or weathered rocks. To prevent lightning strikes, do not set up the tent on a hilltop or in an open field. If placing the tent on mud or sand, dig a row of ditches around it to keep the ground dry. Before using the advertising tent, check that the screws on the cross-tube parts are tightened.

Inspecting the frame: If any part of the advertising tent frame is bent or deformed, stop using it immediately. Repair it and troubleshoot any issues before continuing to use.

Windproofing: When using a single advertising tent outdoors, pay special attention to windproofing. Lower the tent feet to the first section by shrinking the inner foot into the outer foot. This will effectively prevent wind damage. Alternatively, secure the tent with sandbags. In particularly bad weather, it is recommended to put away the tent.

Operating multiple tents: When operating several tents in a row, tie adjacent tent legs together with ties or ropes to make them a whole and strengthen their wind resistance.

Bundling tent legs: Do not use tape to bundle two tent legs together, as tape residue can seriously affect the up-and-down sliding of the advertising tent feet on the sleeve.

Warm tips: Do not go hulk on the tent when trying to open it. If you find any damaged accessories, repair them in a timely manner.
